Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Thank you for using Swipe Phot Cleaner (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, how that access is used, and what rights you have. It applies to users worldwide, including users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United States, Brazil, Canada, and other regions. Where applicable, we follow GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and PIPEDA standards.
1. Data We Access
Swipe Phot Cleaner does not require registration, a user account, or personal profile information to function.
To provide its core photo-cleaning functionality, the App may request access to the following on your device:
- Photo Library - to identify duplicate, similar, blurry, large, or unwanted photos and videos so you can decide which items to delete. The App uses Apple's native Photos framework (PhotoKit). We do not read, copy, upload, or transmit the content of your photos or videos to our servers.
- Device Storage Information - to estimate file sizes, media categories, and storage that may be freed. This analysis is performed on-device using native iOS frameworks.
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, or personal identifiers.
- The content of your photos, videos, documents, or other files.
- Location data, contacts, health data, or other sensitive information.
Analytics and attribution. We may use Tenjin for basic app analytics and advertising attribution. We do not collect or use IDFA, and we do not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies. This data is used to understand app performance and improve marketing.
Crash diagnostics, if any, are handled through Apple's built-in diagnostic mechanisms, such as crash reports submitted voluntarily through iOS settings.
First launch event. When you open the App for the first time, a single anonymous first_open event may be sent to our server. We do not transmit a device identifier, name, email address, or personal data. The event is recorded once and is not repeated on subsequent launches.
2. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing
We access on-device data only to:
- Provide photo review, duplicate detection, and storage cleanup functionality.
- Display storage usage and cleanup suggestions to you.
- Operate and improve the App in a privacy-preserving way.
Where GDPR applies, the legal bases are performance of a contract or requested service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest in operating and improving the App (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Because photo analysis is local and personal media is not transmitted to us, the amount of personal data we hold about individual users is designed to be minimal or zero.
3. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. Since photo analysis happens on-device, we do not possess the contents of your media library. The only exception would be disclosure required by law or valid legal process.
5. International Data Transfers
We do not store your photos, videos, or personal media on our servers, so no international transfer of that media occurs on our end. Any transfers related to Apple's diagnostic or App Store services are governed by Apple's own policies.
6. Data Retention
We do not retain your photos or videos on our servers. Data accessed by the App remains on your device and is controlled by iOS permissions. You can revoke Photo Library access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal data, including access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection to processing. Because we do not store your personal media or account data, many rights are satisfied by design. For questions or requests, contact us at the email below.
California and Nevada residents: We do not sell personal information. Contact us if you have questions about your state privacy rights.
8. Cookies and Tracking
The App does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or similar web technologies. We do not track users across third-party websites or services and do not respond to Do Not Track signals because no such tracking occurs.
9. Links to External Sites
The App or website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
10. Apple's Role
Apple Inc. is not a party to this Privacy Policy and is not responsible for the App's privacy practices. Apple's own privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
11. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will indicate changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
